Paulina is very active and enjoys watching the Olympic events. She watched figure skating, women's hockey, men's hockey, and skiing to name a few. This is something that she took the initiative to do on her own.

The next one is a certificate for successfully completing Kindergarten, 2013.
This one is a certificate acknowledging an award Paulina received named the 'Caring Award from The Credit Valley School,' 2013.

French Reading
Paulina has enjoyed reading English very much. She has been developing her skills in French to the point she can read in French too!
Here are a couple of books which she has read by herself with only a little help over this past weekend!

Favourite Sketch
This is Paulina's favourite sketch!
This sketch shows active people windsurfing in the summer with a palm tree off to one side! She got this idea from the sketch kit.

Sketching strokes
Paulina is developing a variety of sketching strokes while she is learning to sketch.
Here are some examples.
Some of these sketching strokes are used for shading purposes, which she is doing here.

More Sketching Skills
Paulina learned from her Artist Kit which she received for Christmas and she immediately began practicing these skills.
She learned perspective by showing the lines in the front of the page are wider than the lines as they recede back into the picture, along the railroad track.
Paulina continued to sketch and colour the following pictures of a tulip and a skyline.

Developing Sketching skills
Paulina spent some quality time learning key skills in sketching.
Paulina worked to develop her scale of sketching from small to large. Here she began sketching small things in a small way. You can see she drew a mouse, an ant, and a turtle which are small things.
She began drawing bigger on the page, seen here.
While she was developing her sketching skills Paulina practiced using light strokes, medium strokes and heavy strokes, seen below.

Then Paulina was able to stretch her sketching skills to draw a larger picture
on the page, seen below. She covered the entire page with a house, garage, car going into the garage, chimney, front door with a wreath, steps in front of the house, and someone skating on a backyard rink, while there was snow coming down. While she was developing her sketching skills Paulina practiced using light strokes, medium strokes and heavy strokes, seen below.
